I'd never paid any attention to Al Byant until I came across his work for Quality Comics on comicbookplus, but his noirish style has made me a fan. We'll be seeing more of him (and Betty, too). This one is from Hit Comics #21, dated April 1942, and was uploaded by "movielover."






Unusual to see a female main physically thrashing a bunch of baddies in this era, but nice to see. I was wondering if the police would show up while there were still any thugs left conscious to arrest. Count yourselves lucky, chumps, handcuffs are better than concussions.
