None of the attempted replacements worked out, so the last season had first-run episodes starring Jack Kelly, alternating with lots of reruns of Garner episodes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-81788722697407848622011-02-03T18:36:04.201-08:002011-02-03T18:36:04.201-08:00Hmm, I wonder who Laurie Powers is? I've seen most episodes in the past few years and some of the ones from the first two seasons, when Roy Huggins was producing, remain the most entertaining film shot during the sound era. Period. The youtube video here is extremely odd and almost disturbing in that there are no screen captures of the two Maverick brothers together even though these were all from "Pappy" and the legendary "Shady Deal at Sunny Acres" (check that last one out on Wikipedia), featuring both James Garner and Jack Kelly as Bret and Bart Maverick.Michael Powersnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-24890615197547405892010-10-17T11:55:29.731-07:002010-10-17T11:55:29.731-07:00Boy, did I love this show! I'm tempted to say his finest 124 hours, because there were that many episodes, but according to IMDb Garner (Bret) appeared in only 58, Jack Kelly (Bart) in 80, Roger Moore (Beau) in 17 and Robert Colbert (Brent) in 3.Evan Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07620731784654779358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-40883265283633047292010-10-16T12:27:28.603-07:002010-10-16T12:27:28.603-07:00One of the greats. One of the greats.David Cranmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04749857752139212888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-33978091493382644282010-10-16T10:17:46.789-07:002010-10-16T10:17:46.789-07:00Isn't james garner the protagonist?Isn't james garner the protagonist?Deka Blackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08328847551867893941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-89823491256266602762010-10-16T10:13:42.585-07:002010-10-16T10:13:42.585-07:00I liked Maverick although I never saw many of the ...I liked Maverick although I never saw many of the episodes.Charles Gramlichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02052592247572253641noreply@blogger.com
