Fleming suggested a running fake feud, similar to Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, or Jack Benny and Fred Allen. It was interesting to see comments from other mystery/suspense writers, as well as from the real-life CIA director. There was also a chapter about the weapons, and how the real Major Boothroyd (on whom "Q" was based) made suggestions that resulted in Bond switching from the .25 Beretta to the .32 Walther PPK. And I admit that I probably would have bought the book for the Ursula Andress cover alone.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
