Do you have any idea as to value?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15521788035283039498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-67742046875526625262014-05-12T11:34:10.104-07:002014-05-12T11:34:10.104-07:00A nice looking gun.A nice looking gun.Oscar Casehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10328166606910469945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-82936834593581253112014-05-12T07:17:47.616-07:002014-05-12T07:17:47.616-07:00I posted pics of the only Buntline cap gun made in...I posted pics of the only Buntline cap gun made in the U.S. here: http://davycrockettsalmanack.blogspot.com/2014/04/cap-gun-monday-pony-boy-buntline-special.html

Sadly, the barrel is only 6 inches. Hubley also made a gun marked "Wyatt Earp" with a barrel about the same. Most cap guns of their size had barrels of 4 or 5 inches, so they're noticeably longer, but nowhere near where they should be. Most Earp cap guns (and there were a lot of them) had those shorter barrels.

A long-barreled black plastic clicker gun made in the U.S. sold for 69 cents. It looks good, but is cheap and flimsy compared to a real cap gun. I was never moved to acquire one. There's a pic here:
http://p2.la-img.com/249/20089/6863831_1_l.jpg

A nice Buntline was made in England, but if it was ever marketed here, I didn't see it. It came in both black and chrome plated models. Here's the black one:
http://www.nicholscapguns.com/graphics/scrapbook/lonestar/buntline-in-black-t.jpgEvan Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07620731784654779358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-86872389399970784632014-05-12T02:07:01.139-07:002014-05-12T02:07:01.139-07:00Are we going to talk Wyatt Earp cap guns soon? I heard there's an almost mythological kid's Buntline Special with a 12" barrel. :)David Cranmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04749857752139212888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-14812565106345217052014-05-11T21:57:06.350-07:002014-05-11T21:57:06.350-07:00A fine weapon.
