Really looking forward to reading what you have to say about the film version in comparison.Sergio (Tipping My Fedora)http://bloodymurder.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-65873755353259420212012-05-04T10:04:43.889-07:002012-05-04T10:04:43.889-07:00Thanks for solving that mystery, Walker! Thanks for solving that mystery, Walker!Evan Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07620731784654779358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-63126661237596918582012-05-04T08:25:25.484-07:002012-05-04T08:25:25.484-07:00I read this when I was in high school, or maybe 7t...I read this when I was in high school, or maybe 7th or 8th grade, and only remember that it was "a pirate book". I guess the romance angle went right on by me. It was also a novel of betrayal, like Count of Monte Cristo.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705940625481143611.post-49714178683627199342012-05-04T07:58:34.258-07:002012-05-04T07:58:34.258-07:00Love Rafael Sabatini! So he broke one of his rules about no reprints.

I remember reading the serial in ADVENTURE many years ago and thinking that it was a rousing adventure story. I then went out and bought the Sabatini limited edition complete works. One of these days I hope to reread THE SEA HAWK. I know I don't remember having any problems with the plot, characters, etc.Walker Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16089880902426182100noreply@blogger.com
