I've gone adventuring with Doc Savage again, this time reading Will Murray's new book,
The Infernal Buddha (available
HERE). As usual, it puts me in the mood to haul out and admire some of Will's earlier Doc novels. These two, from 1992, feature Bamaesque art from Joe DeVito, the same guy who's doing the covers for the new Wild Adventures from Altus Press.
I enjoyed the two earlier Wild Adventures,
The Desert Demons and
Horror in Gold, and I'll be reviewing
The Infernal Buddha later this week.
Mighty fine covers!
ReplyDeleteLove em. Even the one where he turned into Prince Namor.
ReplyDeleteThe fish cover is the first in my life i see Doc savage without his trademark shredded shirt... because he wears no shirt.
ReplyDeleteGood point, Deka. No wonder he looks (as Paul noted) like Submariner.
