John Buscema... His art was my very first contact wirth sword & sorcery in graphical form. And i always will remember him very fondly. To me, he's THE artist of barbarians, sorcerers and strange creatures.
The nice ladies that managed our Corner Drug Store always put the b&w comic mags up on the high shelf next to more "adult" reading. I dug through many a copy of GOLF or HOT ROD to find these, DEADLY HANDS OF KUNG-FU, and DRACULA LIVES!
