Overlooked Films: CAPTAIN KIDD (1945)


Those E.C. Piracy covers I posted the other day got me in a Yo Ho Ho sort of mood, and this is the result. Toss some popcorn in the microwave and enjoy seeing Randoph Scott and Gilbert Roland play pirate.

    I've seen this film as a teen. Don't remember my thoughts either way. Sensational covers!

    Saw this as a kid at the drive-in. It was what they called at the time a "re-release." I remember feeling sorry for Laughton at the end.

    In that third picture it looks like they're in the wrapping room at the department store. Look at the rolls of paper on the wall.
