Thanks to the razor-sharp memory of Mike Britt.
Not sure how the Look 'n See gimmick was supposed to work. I tried looking at them through the red lens of 3-D glasses, and got nowhere. By messing around with hues on photoshop I could make out a primitive stick figure behind the text on the Wells card, but only vague shapes on the others.
New one to me. I guess the cards came with a small sheet of red paper, but yes, what then. Do you have the set, or does Mike, or?
ReplyDeleteNot me. Never seen 'em til now. Wouldn't surprise me if Mike has some squireled away.
ReplyDeleteWe owned this game!
ReplyDeleteEdited to add: the plain vanilla version. Not the 3D.
ReplyDeleteI have a near complete set...missing the Babe Ruth and two others. The cards came with a sheet of red cellophane that you laid on the back of the card to get the answer to the question. If you lay the red lens of comic book 3D glasses on the card you can view the illustration and read the answer.
ReplyDeleteWearing 3-D glasses and adjusting hues, I can see giant stick figures with horns on the Wells card, and what might be a kid with a fishing pole on Twain's, but can't figure what's going on with Dickens.
