Thank you for this. It was one of mysterious favorites when I was a kid. Made me head to the library to find out more since he operated in my back yard.
I'm thrilled to see this--and Evan, I'm happy to see your book recommendation as Robert D. Bass was my grandfather. I have copies of all of his books (and a Swamp Fox coloring book too) but until now I'd never seen the show! He sold the rights to the book to a small South Carolina publisher called Sandlapper Publishing before he died, and I believe they may still publish it.
I haven't seen this since I was a boy, but I loved it then and it's great to see it again. Thanks for the presentation.

ReplyDeleteThe best book I've seen is SWAMP FOX: The Life and Campaigns of General Francis Marion by Robert D. Bass, published in 1959.
ReplyDeleteAn oldie but a goodie.
