Forgotten Autobiographies: ROBERT LESLIE BELLEM (1941)
This piece appeared in the July 1941 issue of Fantastic Adventures, along with the story "Robots Can't Lie," featured last week in this space (read it HERE).
The 13-year-old Walter Tevis who wanted old science fition magazines went on to write THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH, MOCKING BIRD, THE HUSTLER, and THE COLOR OF MONEY, among others.
Thanks for this interesting article! I know of Bellem from his work on the sixth season of 77 Sunset Strip. It's interesting to know that he ended up right here in Pasadena.
