It goes without saying that this was marketed during World War II. It makes me kind of glad we are living in more politically correct times.
Bob, the toy itself was made of wood; only the "cooling sleeve" was cardboard. The toy is evidently well sought after on the collector's market with prices up to $200 or more. There were also Krak-a-Jap jeeps, artillery guns, combat sets, and bomber and fighter units.
All the cool kids in 1944 were blasting the Japanese in their imaginations with these toys.
It looks like cardboard and crappy as hell. The only good thing about it is the name.
