JOHN SEVERIN Rides with Wyatt Earp (1957)


Here's one of very few Wyatt tales Mr. Severin illustrated for Marvel's Earp comic. The vast majority in that 34-issue run were by Dick Ayers, and they weren't bad (stay tuned and I'll post a couple). This one is from Wyatt Earp #9, dated March 1957.

    Nifty looking Severin piece, very nice without those weird clouds with words in them cluttering up the panels. As usual, terrible Atlas era coloring---probably done by Lumpy Rutherford!
