RIP actor Bill Hayes, 98. To me, he will always be the voice of "The Ballad of Davy Crockett."

Evan Lewis: This Jim Bowie lookalike was the proud recipient of the Mystery Writers of America 2011 Robert L. Fish Award for his EQMM story "Skyler Hobbs and the Rabbit Man."
