I don't know which I love more: the fireman who's just raring for an excuse to smack a crook with his axe, or the fact that the Shadow does nothing with his amazing power of invisibility but drive a fire engine - which you don't really need to be invisible to accomplish.
Guess even Lamont Cranston secretly wanted to be a fireman when he was a kid? And who can blame him, they get to carry axes!
