Peter Gunn meets Thunderball; Thunderball meets Johnny Cash

What would James Bond think of this?

First up is a rendition of the Thunderball theme by the Jazz All-Stars, with an opening riff inspired by the theme from Peter Gunn.

Then it gets even stranger, as we present a tune The Man in Black recorded for the film, but was never used.

    I'm a huge Cash fan, as you know, but I have never heard this tune. Very interesting but I can see why it wasn't used.

    Yeah, it does sound like "The Ballad of the 007 Kid".

    That "Thunderball" version is pretty bad. Except for the really fakey blue screen work on teh boat chase/crash scene, Thunderball is one of my favorite Bond movies.

    I love the theme from Peter Gunn, but the original is better.

    I love the Johnny Cash song (never heard it before), but it belongs in a western, sorry. Not Thunderball.

    I agree, Tom. Johnny should have done the theme for Shalako - Sean Connery in a cowboy hat with Brigitte Bardot in tow.
