The Compleat Cash Laramie (so far) (I think)

By now, I expect just about everyone on the planet has read "Melanie," the crackerjack new Cash Laramie tale from Edward A. Grainger (aka David Cranmer). But for those of you following this blog from other worlds, be advised that this is a big step for our man Cash. This time, the coolest sheriff in the West battles an evil far more insidious than those he's tackled in the past, and this time, the evildoer may not be the only one who pays a price.

"Melanie," of course, awaits your reading pleasure at THE TAINTED ARCHIVE, but where can you find Cash's five previous adventures? Glad you asked. (Each title below is a link to take you where you need to go.)

Cash Laramie and the Masked Devil appeared in the Express Western anthology A Fistful of Legends, published in December 2009.
Miles to Go turned up last May on BEAT to a PULP
Kid Eddie was featured on The Western Online in September.
The Wind Scorpion arrived in October in the amazing print anthology BEAT to a PULP: Round One.
Justice Served rolled out in the Winter 2010 issue of Dark Valentine magazine.
And Melanie appeared just this week on THE TAINTED ARCHIVE.

Where will old Cash turn up next? Who knows? Anyplace will do, as long as he returns soon.

  1. These six represent what is out there at the moment. Tales in the can or almost completed include “The Bone Orchard Mystery” (sent to AHMM) , “Under the Sun” (written with Sandra Seamans), and “Cash Laramie and the Painted Ladies.”

I’m working with Scott D. Parker on “The Adventure of the Sundown Express” that combines his Carter protagonist with Cash & Miles. Last but not least is “Showdown at Lark’s Pass” which is novella length and being polished this week. The plan is to see if a traditional publisher would be interested. If not, BEAT to a PULP Press will be the path I take.

    Thanks for the post, Evan.

  4. I'm one of those who wants all of them together between one set of covers. Any chance of that happening?

  5. Richard, I’m working on it now by polishing up my remaining stories. The proposed title would be The Adventures of Cash Laramie & Gideon Miles. I have a few more details in the above comment.

  7. Thanks, Evan. David has created a fantastic character in Cash and I'll be catching up on the couple I've missed.

I'll also be looking out for future episodes and the longer book!! Well done, David.
