The painted covers are spectacular, and I didn't expect them. Any of them would have stood out as paperback covers for the historical swashbucklers of the era. The catapult cover has an almost Howardian intensity. Really cool,stuff. Thanks. Any more like this out there?
I read this when I was a kid in the fifties and even then knew it was an incredible artistic achievement.
