  3. GI JOE comics were kind of "tongue in cheek" not too distant from Kurtzman's GI SCHMOE in the MAD comic. Henry Sharp did lots of stuff in Ziff-Davis pulps and comics in a clever and silly style and he appears in many of the early issues of GI JOE. He left comics and got into television and I think was the creator or something important on WILD, WILD WEST. You need to do some more of these covers...like #35 only if you like a nurse tied up with her uniform falling off, showing cleavage. Comic Book Plus doesn't have a very good scan of that number...you can scan my copy. I have all fifty one issues.
