These are great posters and bring back some fond memories. My favorite was Son of Paleface because Roy Rogers was in it. Alias Jesse James is fun and has a host of cameos including Gary Cooper and Fess Parker.
Hope was funny enough as a stand-up comedian, but in films I always thought he fell flat. I guess I liked the the road movies the best, because of the female star.
I remember these movies! Thought they were dopey but laughed anyway. Bob Hope played a dentist (or maybe he was the patient) giving or taking laughing gas while in agony. Hilarious. Which movie was that? I'd even watch it again
I thought these movies were great! My favorite Bob Hope movie was Casanova's Big Night. If you've never seen it, I suggest you try it. Yuo will not be disappointd.
I actually thought Hope was funnier in movies than stand-up. I liked the cameos by all those Western stars in Alias Jesse James and Roy Rogers co-starring in Son of Paleface. BTW, The Paleface was remade as The Shakiest Gun in the West, with Don Knotts. The remake is not a classic, but it is not bad.
