Overlooked Films: FEARLESS FOSDICK TV Series

My FFB celebration of Fearless Fosdick is HERE. The TV series ran for thirteen episodes in 1952.

Thanks for this, Davy. We didn't have a TV back then.

This is by far the most bizarre obscurity you've come up with yet. Had no idea these things existed. Superficially, the look of the marionettes suggests Bil Baird had a hand in this show, but apparently puppeteer Mary Chase had no connection with Baird. Watching a half hour of puppets is hard going (though I love the more sophisticated (bigger budget) Thunderbirds & other G&S Anderson shows). I've downloaded these and we'll see if I can get through them.

That was rough sledding. Maybe if I was 64 years younger...

These are genuinely very strange.

My favorite line is from the third film when Fosdick's sidekick tells Fearless why he doesn't want to go into a house he thinks is haunted:

It's full of spooks and goblins and basketball players.
