EMBARRASSING UPDATE: Hey, this was mean to be a reminder to check out Steve Mertz's fine novel, Hank & Muddy, but it was one of those future-scheduled posts that wasn't quite done. I was mighty surprised to see it turn up today. I meant to post a Hank Williams vid too. Sheesh. Still, you DO want to read Hank & Muddy. More on that HERE.

I remember stopping in a club near Bainbridge, Md., on a Sunday afternoon and rocking out with a band similar to this. That was in 1962. Mighty fine music.
I never ever get tired of listening to Muddy and that's one of his absolute best bands with James Cotton on harp. Thanks for posting it, Evan.
And, uh, thanks for this opportunity for some shameless self-promotion: Perfect Crime Books has just made my new novel, Hank & Muddy, available on Kindle for $2.99.

And now for some shameless name dropping. Steve Mertz and I bummed around Tucson on Monday, exploring bookstores and a couple of thrift shops. Great conversation, a massive burrito, and a few good finds marked the day. I also got my copy of Hank and Muddy signed. It's a swell book and a steal at $2.99.
You got an ebook signed, Bob? How the hell do you do that?
I got my trade paperback signed, for which I paid more than $2.99. But $2.99 is a great price if you don't mind an e-book. That does raise the question of how people will get autographs if e-books displace paper.
