Once, as a lad, I bought a MM comic book that had a great adventure with Mickey against Black Pete. I was really caught up in the story when the fatal words "To Be Continued" appeared. I was so devastated I never bought a MM comic again. Perhaps if I'd understood the distribution system my life would have changed for the better.
The Mickey Mouse serials (usually in three parts) were a tradition in Walt Disney's Comics & Stories for many years. I remember seeing the first episode of "Return of the Phantom Blot" when I was about five or six. I missed the subsequent issues and didn't read the complete story until Gemstone reprinted it many years later.

I remember reading as a kid a sword & sorcery story with Mickey and Goofy being in another world and having to fight lots of monsters.
Years later, i still read about adventurers fighting a lot of monsters, of course.
Micky Mouse, Buffalo Bill. I see the similarities.
I remember the comics often had adventure story lines, usually three parters. He was often accompanied by Goofy and/or Pluto.
