I was lucky to read some of these comics in my childhood and that too in a small town in India. Now I read "The Lone Ranger" and other western comics online.
Evan, I don't think the TV series was shown in India where television is less than 40 years old. I remember most British and American series ever shown here. I had forgotten about "The Lone Ranger" TV series and I am glad you mentioned it. I'll watch some online. I have downloaded hundreds of copyright-free comics including westerns and those based on western actors like John Wayne and others, from Dell Comics, I think.
