They did a silent, HUMORESQUE, which last time I saw a reference to it, was still lost. Dunno if Gummo was in that one, but maybe.

I don't know, either, but it's one of the tragedies of Lost Filmdom.

IIUC, Gummo had left the act even before they made Humoresque. But I could be mistaken.

Groucho seemed to think that Humoresque was no big loss. He once said in an interview, "Fortunately, no copies of it still exist."

The Cocoanuts also starred Kay Francis as a seductive villainess. She seemed to play a lot of those early in her career. Later, she seemed to mostly play long-suffering heroines in tear-jerker chick flicks.

Kay Francis had a speech impediment that made her sound like Elmer Fudd. But, when she pwayed a swinky femme fatale, she wore a gwamowous wardwobe, and wooked simpwy wavishing.
