DOC SAVAGE in "Murder is a Business" (1944)

After guest-starring in the first three issues of Shadow Comics, Doc got his own book, which ran for twenty issues. When that folded, he returned here in January 1944 and stuck around for the next five years until that mag met its end. Sadly, at some point in his own comic, he acquired this goofy hood with the jewel in the forehead. What were they thinking? On the plus side, Doc came to his senses and abandoned the headwear prior to the next issue.
