I remember this one, I think, from the first set of Ballantine best-of anthologies, kept in print into the '70s (at least) when I could get them new...albeit in black and white. Excellent to see it again...
I think Wood got some inspiration for this satire from a few select panels from Reed Crandall's first Blackhawk story in MILITARY COMICS #12.
