Remarkable how bad the Doc Savage, etc., covers became as Street and Smith lost interest in being a pulp publisher in late '40s...
Yeah, I read the first half dozen or so paperbacks when they first came out, then lost interest. Even as a kid I knew the Avenger's "Kenneth Robeson" couldn't be the same guy who wrote the Doc novels.
