Goudey Indian Gum Cards: DAVY, DAN'L & BILL (1933)

Interesting that Goudey subscribed to the captured-and-executed theory of Davy's death, which is certainly possible but far from proven.

My favorite cards in the early fifties were LOOK-N-SEE and SCOOP and I can honestly say that I learned more about history and historical figures from them than I did in school. I had some INDIAN GUM cards that were probably given to me by an adult or older kid...but like PIRATES, I was turned off by the crude art...now I wish I had them again.

I'm not familiar with those cards, Mike, but I'll LOOK-N-SEE if I can find some pics worth posting. And it's mighty good to hear from you, sir.
