Isn't this the guy that did all those modern art type skiffy paperback covers? I was never enamored of his style.

I ain't wild about him, ether, but these were the covers I had as a kid (and still do).

I like Powers art a lot, especially his SF covers on many paperbacks. At Pulpfest this past summer, an art dealer had the original cover painting for THE CITY OF GOLD and I managed to buy it. Wish I had wall space left over to hang it!
