The Art of Raymond Chandler: Tom Adams 1

c
Over the next few days (with time out tomorrow for Flash Fiction and Friday for a Forgotten Book), I'll be posting the complete set of ten Tom Adams covers that graced Chandler paperbacks in the early 70s. I will now shut up and let you enjoy them.

Great covers. Adams also did a colourful series of Agatha Christie covers and they've been collected in book form.

Thanks, Nik, I didn't know about the Christies. I do remember Adams' work from a book called The Great Detectives that I have lurking about somewhere.

Thanks for a great post, Evan

I mentioned this, with a link, in my January 28 post "The Joy of Discovery". I really like these covers and they happen to be the ones on most of the Chandler paperbacks I have, though I have the books and stories in a couple of hardcover collections, which don't have great covers at all.

Tom Adams' Christie covers were terrific. I didn't know he did Chandler as well.

Neat! That's the paperback I have for The Big Sleep. :)
