I'm sure I saw these movies in the 1930's when they made the circuit to our little town. Don't remember any re-releases though.
I've only seen old Tim on TV and DVD, but I consider him just about the coolest movie cowboy of the 30s.
It's the hat.
It's also the way he lifts his six-gun after each shot, then snaps it forward to make the bullets go faster.
