Pulp Gallery: THE LONE RANGER 1 & 2 (1937)

The Grosset & Dunlap novel The Lone Ranger and the Mystery Ranch was based on this story.

This one was the basis for the G&D book The Lone Ranger and Tonto.

More Ranger pulps next week!

There's the checked shirt again. Was that standard for him before the television show?

Hm. I hadn't noticed, but he does wear checkered shirts on 6 of the 8 pulp covers. Most are different colors, though. In the pre-show comics, his favorite shirt was solid red.

Thanks for stopping by, Sam. Much more featuring those four gents (and their heroic brethren) coming down the pike.
