This baby gets my vote as the best cap gun of all time. It's not only regulation size - a whopping 13 inches long - but it packs all the weight of the real thing, too.
I didn't have one of these when I was a kid, but a friend of mine did. Every time I visited his house he had a tough time prying it out of my hands.
I have a couple now, of course, and posed with one for my first blog photo (at left). I also have a Hubley holster bearing the Colt .45 logo, leading me to believe it may have been marketed as a tie-in to the Warner Bros TV series starring Wade Preston.
For hobbyists and gun collectors, Hubley issued a nearly-identical gun as a Model 1860 Colt .44 replica. It features a more authentic hammer (rather than the fanner-style on the .45) and the metal (except for the cylinder) is unfinished.
This YouTuber did a nice job of showing you all the details:

Very nice. I would have loved having that.
Very nice indeed.
Is that the same as the one I gave you for Xmas years ago?
