Gee, if only someone would sell me some beachfront property on Myrtle Beach I'd be the happiest man on Earth. But where can I find such a person?

Spammer aside, I read a number of Blackhawk comics when I was a kid and generally liked them, despite not caring for Olaf.

By the time I was reading comics in the mid-to-late 1960's, Blackhawk had gone to seed. DC was trying to exploit the big 1960s fads: high-camp superheroes and spies. The Blackhawk team became (at one and the same time) secret agents and costumed super-heroes. It was a bad imitation of Tower Comics' T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, which, in turn, was an attempt to combine the Justice League with the Man from U.N.C.L.E.

DC cancelled it in the late 1960's, and later revivals never caught on.

I guess they were trying to combine two of the three pop culture phenomena of the sixties (Bond, Batman, and the Beatles). Thank goodness they settled for the first two, and didn't try to make the Blackhawks into a rock band.

Spammer? Must have already been deleted.

I have read a few of these on line and they're not bad. At least (pulling from the comment above) T.M.F.P. says.

I liked 'em fine in the late '50s.
