Amazing that I have never seen any of these three covers before! Must I now attempt to get a complete run of the title at this age? I've always felt a connection with the Reid family, especially that fellow with the name of Britt.
El Kabong says...A costume Clayton Moore wore as the title character in classic Tv series The Lone Ranger has sold at auction for $195,000 The ensemble donned by the masked former Texas Ranger in the popular U.S. series went under the hammer on Saturday (12Jul14), through Waco, Texas-based auction house A & S Auction Co.
An undisclosed buyer purchased the outfit, which included matching light blue shirt and pants, a red kerchief, Stetson hat, cowboy boots and a belt holster which holds two custom-made Colt pistols.
Organisers at the auction house originally set the price at $150,000, but the Tv artifact eventually sold for $45,000 more than the estimate.
I read that news item and as I recall the outfit was NOT worn on the show, but worn years after the show went off the air when Moore did personal appearances, sans mask.

Yes, Mike. You should, at the very least, acquire the original art for that February issue, so I can over and admire it.
The one at the bottom could also be titled, "What do you mean 'WE,' Paleface?"
It's been done, Anon, and I'm an original thinker.

I'm betting that "undisclosed buyer" was you, El. Bet that suit looks great when you out disco dancing.
