Thanks for the pointer! I'll have to look at this soon...you've seen the theatrical documentary CRUMB, I suspect? R. Crumb comes off as the closest to sane in his family there...also interesting to me, anyway, how he got some of his first (non-"underground") newsstand exposure through HELP!, thanks to Harvey Kurtzman and Terry Gilliam...
