I've actually read 'The Covered Wagon' and 'Brass Commandments' though---a long time ago.
That's twice as much as I can say.
My old Grandpappy had a collection of old Western novels. I read most of them when I was a kid and well into my teens. Those were quite a bit better than what the Snowflakes get exposed to these days! lol
I saw all of these in the theater when I was a kid.
I know a whopper when I hear one, Cap'n. You had to be at least thirty-something by the time these flicks came out.
But a kid at heart.
