As you may have noticed, I'm a great admirer of the work of Everett Raymond Kinstler. After some fine interior illo work in the pulps, he produced a ton of great comic book covers. He also illustrated a number of stories, but his fine line work sometimes suffered from poor printing on the cheap paper. Thankfully, this adventure of Mr. Dan'l Boone (from the 1953 Fighting Daniel Boone #only - thanks to comicbookplus's movielover) came out better than most. When you get to the end, you'll see the contents page, printed in black and white on the inside cover. Makes me wish ALL of his comic work had been printed in b&w on good paper. You'll find more of his black and white work and a nice Jesse James story HERE.
