Powdersmoke Range was based on a book in the series that the Three Mesquiteers movie series was based on.It's pretty good. Of course, with Harry Carey, you can't miss.
I saw Crimson Trail many years ago on broadcast tv, and remember that it conveyed a mild horror vibe at times.
