SECRET AGENT X-9 in "Blood and Gold!" - Week 1 (1939)
"Robert Storm" was a house name, and I don't know really wrote this sequence (though it certainly was not the strip's creator, Mr. Dashiell Hammett). Austin Briggs, though, was a great illustrator.
