I had that "For Bond Lovers Only" book many years ago. It was interesting to see comments from other mystery/suspense writers, as well as from the real-life CIA director. There was also a chapter about the weapons, and how the real Major Boothroyd (on whom "Q" was based) made suggestions that resulted in Bond switching from the .25 Beretta to the .32 Walther PPK. And I admit that I probably would have bought the book for the Ursula Andress cover alone.
"For Bond Lovers Only" also described a meeting between Ian Fleming and Len Deighton. Fleming suggested a running fake feud, similar to Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, or Jack Benny and Fred Allen. AFAIR, Fleming never did mention Deighton's character in the Bond series, but "Funeral in Berlin" had a quip about Bond.

Dang, that makes me want to read it!
Yep! I had FOR BOND LOVERS ONLY too. It got dumped in with some old bodice rippers for the library book sale...LOST TO THE VOID!
