Cap Gun Monday: Hubley Buffalo Rifle

This fine weapon, marketed by Hubley in the mid-fifties, measures just under 21 inches. They made an identical model with the name "Davy Crockett" in gold on the forestock, but somehow I failed to own one.

Me and my Hubley Buffalo Rifle, with my father looking on. As you see, this was taken some time ago. I have since grown a mustache.

Beautiful. And I feel secure knowing you're guarding the pass.

Nice! I bet you shot a lot of wolves with that.

Buffalo, Oscar. Scads of 'em. Used my rubber Bowie knife when fighting wolves.

I’m sure that there are those that are not aware that the Davey Crockett buffalo rifle and the buffalo rifle are exact except for Davey Crockett etched in stock. Which variant is the more rare?
