Cap Gun Monday: HUBLEY COWBOY

It's another big 'un, measuring 11 1/2 inches long and packing plenty of weight. The Cowboy was Hubley's version of the Colt Peacemaker, and its only failing, in my opinion, was that grip was scaled down for smaller hands. I guess that's understandable, but I'm thankful they did not follow that practice with the Colt .45 (HERE). The cylinder on this one revolves, which is nice, but to no real purpose, since it does not hold shells. Not surprisingly, this was one of the best selling cap guns of the '50s.

Very nice, especially the bull on the handle.
