Never saw the series. Only know is very, very weird. That, and the famous sentence about being a man and not a number.

I have this set somewhere packed away. I remember when the series was originally broadcast. Something weird indeed.

It was always said he wasn't john Drake(that may have been for legal reasons). I do know that in the three Ace novels, or rather two and three, he had a key chain emblem with the initials JD in the first, and the opening sentence in three was Drake woke.

I remember reading these years ago and enjoying them. I should dig those out of the long box trenches.

That was quite a great show, wasn't it?

Patrick McGoohan always said that Number Six was not Drake, but then, he had to, since he owned The Prisoner but not Danger Man/Secret Agent.
