When I was a kid, I saw this cool movie co-starring Charles Bronson, and have been an X-15 fan ever since. Pretty sure I buillt a model of it, too. At the Air and Space Museum I was almost close enough to touch it, and was itching to climb into the cockpit.

Very bad movie, though. I just watched half of it. My kid brain saw it differently.
I have a couple of X-15 kits and I hope to live long enough to do one. It's neat that you got to see one in person. Is this the one Chuck Yeager flew?
Didn'the read the plaque at the museum, but I saw Charles Bronson fly it in the movie.
