The Art of Sherlock Holmes: Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon Part 2

It's been awhile since we visited the Rathbone & Bruce Art Gallery. Sorry. Here's the Australian version of "Secret Weapon", fourth in the franchise.

I'd forgotten about Rathbone's hair being swept forward on the sides but it really shows on the top picture. I think he did this in the later movies, perhaps because his own hair was thinning.

I'll be really interested to see what you think of the new Sherlock Holmes movie when it comes out.

Cap'n - Sure beats the Donald's do.

Laurie - Me too.

It's been awhile since I've watched a Rathbone film. My first film I bought on VHS as a kid was DRESSED TO KILL. Still, the first two will always be the best in the series. Detailed, atmospheric storytelling.

Too true, David. After them I'd probably rank the Rathbone-Bruce radio shows, followed by the rest of the films.

I wonder why it says "Not suitable for general distribution"?

oops, I meant "exhibition".

I see that on a lot of old Australian posters. They must have had some funny ideas about what was suitable for kids.
