Did Sam Merwin edit MYSTERY BOOK too? Like the Thrilling Group sf magazines, it might be MB hasn't been given enough credit for what it had to offer.

Galactic Central reminds me that this one began in 1945 as an EQMM-imitation digest, and went pulp in 1947. They credit Leo Margulies as editor, which probably means Merwin or others had a hand in.
