Severin, Elder & KURTZMAN present "Prairie Schooner Ahoy!" (1949)

There are a LOT of great Severin/Elder collaborations out there. You've seen quite a few right here on the Almanack. And you've no doubt seen a lot of Kurtzman/Elder Annie Fannie's while perusing those high-brow articles in Playboy. But you won't find too many stories featuring all three guys at once. Here's one of them, from Prize Western #74, back in April 1949. Thanks to fan777 for sticking it up on comicbookplus.

"Dusty" Ballew. . . I wonder whether this character was at all inspired by crooner and singing cowboy Smith Ballew?
