Planet Stories had some of the finest covers the pulps ever gave us. And all of those shown here are wonderful. But I believe Planet’s Summer, 1944 issue is the absolutely apex of this style.

PLANET STORIES is one of my favorite magazines. In fact I have two sets: one for reading and one that Frank Robinson used to own. The problem with his set is that it's so beautiful and perfect that I'm reluctant to handle the issues!
